El Dia Del Mustache

A big thanks to everyone who came out this year in support of El Dia del Mustache 7. This year’s crowd was undoubtedly the biggest in El Dia history (200?), and for the first time ever we witnessed an on-the-fly addition of a new competitive category: The Magnum PI stache. A pregnant stache and even a toddler stache were also spotted amongst the follicled masses.

Farley (pictured above, center) won top honors for Best in Show with that marvelous piece of work on his upper lip. Farley, if you’re reading this, keep in touch and please take care of that beloved baby blue Members Only jacket.

LASTLY, a note about the venue. God damn, that place was disgusting. Thanks to everyone who stuck it out depite the inescapable smell of human excrement. We swear it didn’t smell like that the last time we scoped the place out (though there were two homeless dudes sleeping in the back). The point is moot anyway, since we’ll never be going back to Port 41 again. The Board has already begun searching for a new venue for next year. If you have any ideas we’d love to hear them.
