It’s official: The first Saturday of the month of May in the year MXII is the day all of your dreams come true — especially if those dreams involve bathing your hirsute top lip in cheap beer and putting your follicular fortitude to the test in the world’s premiere mustache beauty pageant.

For those who have attended before, we needn’t say any more except to remind you to bring your A game. For all of you El Dia virgins out there, what can you expect? As with all first times, it’s going to be sexy, scary and orgasmic.

Get there early to ensure your nomination in one or more of our hallowed prize categories: Sh*tty ‘Stache, Molester ‘Stache, Dad ‘Stache. Novelty ‘Stache and Best in Show. Stay late to imbibe in the glory of an El Dia del Mustache first, all new for 2011: MUSTACHE KARAOKE! Go ahead…let that soak in a minute.

So, on Saturday, May 7th, come out and let your mustache run free. Your self respect, good taste and decorum may say no, but your upper lip says, “Hell Yes.”
